Results of our free automated check of PDFs linked from www.simsbury-ct.gov.

4 of 13 PDFs we checked have no tags

We found 200 or more PDF links on the pages we crawled and checked 13 of them. Untagged PDFs have no structure, so a screen reader reads each one as a single flat block of text.

See the file-by-file results (scan of 2026-10-30).

Why it matters: the DOJ’s ADA Title II web rule covers PDFs on state and local government websites. Deadlines: April 26, 2027 for places with 50,000+ people, April 26, 2028 for smaller ones (ada.gov).

This is an automated check of a few common PDF problems, not a full accessibility audit or legal review. Results reflect the scan date shown; the site may have changed since.
